Frogs?

Just for fun, a remake of Foucault quoting Borges quoting a “certain Chinese encyclopedia in which animals of the world are divided into: (a) belonging to the Emperor, (b) embalmed, (c) tame, (d) suckling pigs, (e) sirens, (f) fabulous, (g) stray dogs, (h) included in the present classification, (i) frenzied, (j) innumerable, (k) drawn with a very fine camelhair brush, (l) et cetera, (m) having just broken the water pitcher, (n) that from a long way off look like flies.” The first time I drafted this was the early two-thousands and item (n) read “that from a long way off look like blobs.” Can’t use that anymore given that Greg Lynn has completed his “Archaeology of the Digital,” something “dug out” of the 1980s and 1990s. Why frogs? The word frogs came to mind and the animal frog is interesting.
